I agree, we had a darned good reason for kicking some butt.
Now, you could nitpick the part about did we kick the correct butts, but that doesn't take away our right to defend ourselves. It just means that our leaders took the excuse of 9/11 to go after some people that they want to get to anyway. So what we need are new leaders who will kick the butts that need kicking, and leave everyone else alone.
someone on NPR mentioned that bush's public approval rating over the whole iraq situation has dropped to an all time low following the abuse scandal. the public, however, still favors bush over kerry when it comes to iraq, so a warning about domestic terror should only serve to increase public support for bush.
either way, all of the warnings in the past have been well timed and nothing ever came of them.
