I wouldn't doubt it. There are a lot of pinkos on IRC that like to get high, and a large percentage of them are severely depressed and/or suicidal. It's happened before, so I think this is all true/
i agree with that statement, but look at the news stories. they seem too brief.

I guess I'd accept it, since there are a lot of screwed up people out there, but in my experience, most (decent) 'shrooms generally leave you too screwed up to do much of anything. This sounds a lot more like PCP or Meth use.
Even if it was a psychadelic drug, it is only going to pull out those deeply repressed sub-concious urges. If this fellow was well balanced, he'd have spent the night giggling and listening to the Pink Dots. Based on his actions, he probably would have killed himself or someone else sooner or later. The 'shrooms just gave him a little push.

How hard would it be to type up an Irc log, with the right time, name, town, etc. and say hey look this guy said he was going to do this on IRC... Shrooms don't usually make people psychotic, unless they've been dipped in PCP or something... I would have to know someone who could validate this to believe it.
