Why do you assume the same number of people dont want to pay taxes? Most marijuana supporters actualy say make it legal and tax it.. So i would like to know where you get those numbers from.
47 to 50% want to legalize it. About the same amount pay no taxes. It is the politicians we feed who want to tax marijuana as a tool to buy more progressive votes with. Alcohol, tobacco, fatty food and white tanning bed consumers do not appreciate paying sin taxes. It is much easier and cheaper to trade food stamps for the white lightning and backyard grown tobacco than pay taxes on it - leave taxes that to the rich and greedy. and spread the sin taxes evenly across the population so that all citizens pay then whether they inhale or not, to level the playing field.
