Oh I'll promote an open border...one we drive the tanks through. I have said for years instead of Iraq we should have rolled the tanks on Mexico. A border 2000 miles across? Impossible to defend short of putting down a 2000 mile landmine field like we did with NK.
But the border between Mexico and South America? That is only a couple of miles across and easily defensible. The amount of dope, guns, and slaves being brought across the Mexican border is enough to declare it an act of war. Bring our boys homes and point their butts south, we could have it taken in a week. Split it into 4 states, declare the national language to be English and call it a week.
