As opposed to Fox "News"'s war on reality.
I click on Media Matters from time to time. They typically post lengthy unedited video clips of people saying stupid shit, and then make comments about what was said. The comments are sometimes overheated compared to what is on the clip, which is bias, but the clips do speak for themselves. They aren't edited to give a false impression, like the ones from that ACORN asshole are.
Funny how a long direct quote, on a video, totally in context, can be consider biased. Maybe sometimes the truth has a bias to it, at least to Ditto Heads.
It's not so much the quotes they present as the quotes they ignore. Or more importantly which lies they think need uncovering and which they accept despite knowing they are a lie.
So showing what someone actually said is being biased, but I suppose extensive editing of video, like the ACORN pimp video is still okay.
I think was raz is saying is they only spotlight the ring wing liars and leave the left wing liars alone.
Yes, and I think the world will be a better place when you have skeptical critics on both sides calling them on their lies.
Well, FOX was the first "news" station to do this (ty bush sr and deregulation of media) I really think all the "liberal" stations are just journalists who decided to combat the FOX news message.. Sad though, there was a time in American history that all these people would be laughed out of jobs and outcasted.
FOX doesnt even claim to be journalists anymore, these days they are "broadcasters
I won't argue much about where things ended up, but fox was far from the first to start being heavily biased. It's just more obvious because more of their programming was talking heads doing what amounts to op/ed from the start.
The right is just doing what the left has been doing for quite some time. They are just being more blatant about it and you happen to disagree with them more. So that makes you angrier.
I wont pretend to be a fan of the journalism students that I went to school with (The Edward R. Morrow school of journalism at Washington State (I was a Poly Sci major)) but stupid as they were they really did make an effort to be objective. I simply don't see that effort in Fox (in fact an aggressive effort to do the opposite), while I do see at least a cursory effort on behalf of MSNBC, a modest and honest effort on behalf of CNN/CBS/ABC/NBC/NYT (although they did help push us into Iraq, pushing them to the right) and an honest and fruitful effort on behalf of PBS/NPR (they nake money from donations like mine, and we demand middle of the road coverage with a significant educational content) and the BBC. So no, I don't see what effort the Left made that somehow needs to be countered by the Right.
I'll give you the BBC most of the time. Most local tv news ceased having any news content a while ago. As for the rest there's a definite bias. You just assume it to be middle of the road from where you are standing.
Just wondering who the first was? As far as i remember and can find it was FOX.
In February 1996, after former US Republican Party political strategist and NBC executive[14] Roger Ailes left America's Talking (now MSNBC), Murdoch called him to start the Fox News Channel. Ailes worked individuals through five months of 14-hour workdays and several weeks of rehearsal shows before launch, on October 7, 1996.[15]
Gramps .. posts from media matters sometimes not just visits it.
The site is garbage muckraking site .. they don't even try to report the news .. all they do is attack Fox news stories. They even have a tax exempt status. Apparently they have quite the following - of course Fox news has more viewers than the other news outlets .. they must be doing something right .. which really pisses off a bunch of people from the left.
I don't watch Fox news .. but I'd imagine that those who protest the most about Fox news - never really watches the programing and most of what they here is from site like Huffpo which is far from being unbiased or sites like KOS and media matters and muckraker which are way out in left wing land.
Acorn is really run by a bunch of nuns .. . and those edited pimp videos were what put them out of business .. it's all a vast right wing conspiracy ... or perhaps they were defunded for a bunch of improprieties.
T keeping the fight alive i see... Keep solo trollin! Oh, reply is a different button.. You might watch that next time!
What EXACTLY did Acorn do that was improper? Bearing in mind, of course, that the incriminating videos were fabricated.
just google acorn fraud and acorn convictions
You guys been reading too much media maters and Huffpo
your comment adds nothing constructive and you should really look in the mirror before you call someone a troll.

Not that they have blatantly lied in stories (aka Limbaugh slavery lie, which is still up as a trophy of their propaganda) and should have lost their tax status years ago, since they are partisan political players funded by the evil Soros.
