Not sure that analogy makes sense in a year where the GOP is running ahead of the pathetic dems, who can't seem to defend their weak job growth success against the party that did everything in its power to outsource American jobs and depress the wages of those who still have jobs.
That party, the GOP, is offering as solution to the current problem more of the same policies that got us into the worst downturn since 1929, which of course was caused by almost exactly the same policies which were put into effect by Herbert Hoover.
Not sure why the dems are having trouble running against this idea of trying the same stuff that has failed time and again, except that they are spineless and inept.
Reason and Common Sense don't seems to fly with a large part of the electorate, whereas demagoguery, lies and mud slinging seems to work just fine!
