I think some in the media are making themselves targets of the military. And when they reveal troop movements, eavesdropping techniques, or info that puts our troops in harms way for the sake of ratings, I wouldn't be eager to protect them from falling into enemy hands.
If they do that then you bust them for treason and spying in a time of war.

Journalist is still a citizen of his nation and if he releases information that could cause the death of soldiers from his own nation, than he/she should meet his maker quickly and hopefully messily!
