I still hear people, mostly the kind that would defend Bush no matter what, say that there isn't any problem with the wiretapping since they are only listening to the conversations between terrorists.
In a way, I wish I could be that trusting of my government, but I'm not. It isn't even a matter of having a president I trust more or less that's in office. I don't think any elected official should have that kind of unregulated power, with no oversight, no accountability to anyone. It is the kind of power that is bound to corrupt anyone.
But what are we going to do with these Bush hanger-on types? Dubya could have sexual intercourse with Monica Lewinski on national TV during a press conference and some people would say;
"Well, Bill Clinton did the same thing so it must be okay"
These people make me want to ....
I'm not a Bush hanger-oner, but last I checked, the Senate is controlled by the Democrats.
