People debating solar and wind power like we got a choice. We don't. We don't burn oil to produce electricity. Its much too expensive. Nuclear can only be baseload. Coal is traditional only baseload. Natural gas is what we mostly use for peakers and gas turbines. We don't have an infinite supply of natural gas. That shale gas you have heard about that is us scraping the bottom of the barrel. When that runs out we are truly and totally fucked. So all of you people who have got a problem with solar and wind power and would like it squashed, you better rethink your position because without solar and wind power we will be living in the dark.
