You'all should be very proud of Obama$ relationship with the Solyndra owners who took the fifth amendment and ~1/2 billion dollars. Or does Obama take the fifth amendment on that too ... he was dang happy and proud to have photo ops before they went belly up?
You make a good point, that Obama was badly mistaken to be proud of that relationship, but what about the Koch Brothers.
They make no bones about their climate change denial, their disdain for all things environmental, their point of view that there should be no government regulation on the pollution that their businesses puts out, just to scratch the surface.
Why not address that too, instead of just diverting the topic back on Obama. You can address both Obama and Cain, it isn't an either/or proposition.
Personally I don't see the two Special Interests as anything near to equal. Solyndra wasted a half billion dollars, mostly due to incompetence as far as I can see. The Koch Brothers are out to remake the US in their own image and likeness, to bring back the era of the Robber Barons of the late 19th century. They pose a vastly greater threat to the rest of us than some stupid hippy solar powered dorks.
I am no fan of Cain .. to close to the Federal reserve. He is a very intelligent man and had a diverse and interesting life for sure - he has had to work for were he has got - not to sure how honestly, but he did not have the meteoric shot to the presidency as the anointed one, Obama has. Obama had the right connections and with some charisma and again some connections and it would appear a health helping of cronyism.
I am sure the Koch brothers have manipulated and lobbied there way into getting special favors. At least Cain is honest about it .. and Obama .. he sure is one quiet cat now that his boys have taken the fifth .. any photo ops recently with them .. did he have lunch and photos with the boys after they testified???
I am not going to vote for Cain or Obama .. which special interest are you going to vote for?
The sad thing is that for Solyndra - got special deal .. likely due to the fact that the owners made nice contributions to the right guy (s) .. was a big bust - the sad thing is that there are 10 energy companies out there that are solvent and could have made a difference ... but NOOOOOOO .. special interest cronyism and Obama. That is what I have an issue with .. that and my taxes was part of that charade. What about Sunpower and the jobs that the feds have shipped to Mexicali and yet another bad cronyism investment.
I don't hate democrats as you blindly hate Republicans and conservatives, shoot I voted for my democrat congress woman the last several elections.
I really don't have a blind hate for Republicans. I have voted for a few, here and there in local elections, for county sheriff for example.
I don't like the cronyism any more than you do, and I see it all the time in both parties. During the Bush years they had a special name for it, Banana Republicanism. Sadly, Obama has just continued some of the same traditions, as you have pointed out with your 'new boss, same as the old boss' quotes.
What really drives me up the wall in politics is the Through The Looking Glass hypocrisy that I see in both parties, but carried to the extreme on the Right, in my view. WMD, that aren't there, al Qaeda fighters in places where they don't exist, the war on Planned Parenthood based on grossly fraudulent basis, Birtherism, climate change denial, Anti-evolution maniacs, anti abortion fanatics, those who have a history of only outsourcing American jobs running on a platform of jobs jobs jobs, then legislating on a platform of abortion abortion abortion. Stuff like that.
