My major problem with articles like these is that they seem to advocate that we should outlaw the right to protest. If we want cheaper energy will must become a police state. That usually ends up with lots of people being killed by their government. I much rather pay a liitle more for my gas than pay for cheaper energy with my life.
There is nothing clean about oil sand mining. First its open strip mining where they tear the soil off square miles of soil to get to the oil sand. There is the problem of what to do with all the waste thats left over. The other thing is that they have to burn a major portion of the entire natural gas supply of Canada to process the oil. The entire process is a lot worse than the article would make you believe.
