Watching horses run in a circle isn't exciting enough to warrant a long trip so see them?
It is if you have enough money at stake, but I guess that would be about the only way.
On the few occasions that I go to Vegas I like to spend a little time at the sports book, but at least there I get free drinks, comfy chairs and I don't have to go some place like Kentucky.
Hint: Balley's has the nicest sport book, at least last time I was there. Big comfy chairs and several races and games going on at once.
If I ever wind up in Vegas, I'll have to check it out. But I don't gamble much on sports, mostly just poker and blackjack.
It occurs to me that the only reason it was sobering was that there was not enough free beer.
Wonder if they advertised it as heavily this year.
I've never watched a horse race and I plan never to do so.
Maybe people suddenly realized that they were spending their time watching horses run around a track and they smartened up.
I doubt that is the actual reason, but a guy can hope, right?
