You have the correct message but the wrong direction. If you want to follow the money, specifically to find out who is funding the 'fantasy' referenced above, start with the Koch brothers. They are using their BIG MONEY to fund climate change denial for the purpose of making MUCH BIGGER MONEY when they manage to fool enough of the public into letting them pollute the air to save them BIG MONEY in pollution control.

Just suppose that it does turn out that it is CO2 that is causing global warming .. then humans .. are going to solve this global problem - yeah right .. shoot humans can't solve local traffic congestion - much less world hunger or poverty ... let's take on mother nature now ... no the schmucks will make you believe that if you do this cap and trade stuff then you can save the world .... yeah right .. then you must have really fell for that time for a change blarney too.
So Gramps .. I suppose you walk or bike ride where ever you go .... don't watch TV, have a small laptop that uses a small amount of energy .. have the latest eco friendly water heater, refrigerators/freezers .. and of course ./. you living in Florida, you don't ever use the AC?
I am not saving the world single highhandedly, nor do I aspire to do so. I am simply pointing out the the world is getting warmer, most of the researchers looking into this say that human use of fossil fuels contributes to it, and as the author states, it is fantasy to claim otherwise.
Yet we have a very active campaign ongoing, thanks to massive spending by energy interests to propagandize this issue as some kind of hoax, the Climate Change Deniers. These guys are waging a fantasy campaign to deceive the public into thinking that there are no negative consequences to putting greenhouse gases into the air, or that the US Constitution doesn't allow for the regulation of interstate commerce, a lie so big that requires a whole new political party to spew this utter nonsense.
That's what I am saying, just helping to set the record straight. I don't have a solution, nor is one possible until the facts as the are are accepted by the voting public.
Mr. Gramps is wrong on this one. The Earth is actually too cold and this is why the arctic hole expands too. Resist as you might, BUYING ARAB OIL is the path least resistance.
I am not the author of this study. If someone is wrong it is either the author or you.
And the author says that the evidence is so compelling that denying it is fantasy, which happens to be your area of expertise.
I will consult with meteorologist Al Gore to get the straight skinny on this.

Except that a single year or even a decade does not show that global warming is real. With regards to temperature trends a period of hundreds of years must be observed.
But the Earth has obviously been warming - but the real question is whether humans are having any substantial impact on it. And that's a very difficult question to answer.
The Earth has been warming since the Little Ice Age - but I think you'd be foolish to claim that humans are responsible for that with the rough data that we have.
And while CO2 is a greenhouse gas it only comprises 0.03% of our atmosphere, making other sources such as methane and water vapor much larger contributors and yet those are spoken about much less. It's also important to realize that when looking at charts comparing CO2, methane, etc. emissions produced by humans that the heat curve doesn't really fit so the causation is not clear. And one of the first things scientists are taught is that correlation does not imply causation and yet that is exactly what's going on.
My point is that it's a very complex question, but too many people claim to have the answer before they even start researching.
