You may not be able to prosecute all of the guilty but you should prosecute at least a few of the high profile ones. You may not win all the cases but you will at least put the fear of the law into them. If you don't then they will do even worst the next time.
The Tea Party says that regulations go against the US Constitution and should be done away with, if I understand them correctly. They want to get rid of several Cabinet departments that have to do with ensuring that consumers are protected from dangerous practices, but for some reason it is difficult for them to remember which departments they have in mind.

How many people have gone to jail for the fleecing of America .. there should be tens of Wall street execs in the jail house ... there were and are regulations to do that. Obama and Holder are just as bad or worse as GW and Alberto Gonzales ... you just can't admit that your boys are a bunch of crooks .. only that GW was .. only repugs. The real question is what do we do about it?
The answer I hear from the Tea Party is to abolish regulation and the agencies that regulate.

why are we paying for useless regulation agencies than? Those in the job are unqualified or corrupt, so why continue the farce?
I think the real issue here is which regulations to uphold. For instance, regulations against illegal aliens exist but are rightly not adhered to because the valued person can provide the deciding progressive votes in elections. and make excellent government dependents.. Regulations requiring a voter to prove they are registered and legal are another unimportant regulation. Any regulation that fines western companies for their operations, and discourages or bankrupts those operations, such as Ronny Bryant's, are regulations that should be enforced in order reduce dependence on private employment, increase dependence on the government, and encourage people to Buy Arab Oil.

This is so wrong because regulations create jobs for more progressive voting government union regulation observers, and bring in income by fining the rich and greedy business people for not observing regulations that did not exist yesterday. They are kind of a fund raising speed trap for those r and g business people.
