The tenure rule existed to protect experienced teachers from arbitrary dismissal. The problem is that a Republican school broad can decide to dismiss all teachers who are Democrats. What is needed is some mechanism that protect good teachers while allowing bad teachers to be dismissed that cannot be corrupted by politicans.
