This article is right. Drug users and alcoholics should have no responsibility to try to control or stop their disease and the money, family and career problems they cause. The problems they have are not their fault, but the fault of an economy destroyed by Bush and the racism of white males. AA is a complete failure and I dare anyone to name somebody it has worked for. We need a new method of treatment, and while waiting for that treatment I think it is the responsibility of the taxpayer to maintain the free flow of drugs and alcohol to the patient so the patient will not die from withdrawal. Methadone and free needle programs are a great start.
