I'll buy you a beer any day my friend, but it is still too soon to predict which way the winds will blow on healthcare reform. The individual parts of it are very popular with the public, when they are asked about whether they favor this or that particular part of the reform. On the other hand, the reform is very unpopular with healthcare companies, insurance companies, and others who fear they will lose money under the new system.
So which way will the Supreme Court go, with the voting public or with the corporations that fuel political campaigns? The smart money says that the Supreme Court is packed with those who will do anything for corporate interests even when they conflict with the public interests, but the Supreme Court has a way of going with established law, which may give Obama a slight edge.
It will be interesting to watch.
And, of course, the beer flows either way!
