Funny you should mention redistribution of wealth. Your Tea Party supported Bill that passed the House yesterday does a lot of redistribution.
It would cut benefits for any sucker or deadbeat who receives federal assistance of any kind. They are just parasites anyway, right, old people and sick people who expect health care, etc?
But the genius of the Bill is that it redistributes some of the money saved by taking it away from regular people and spends it on tax cuts for businesses and top wage earners.
The thinking behind this is pretty obvious.
1)Federal dollars are wasted when they are spent on average citizens. Let's cut that shit out.
2) Federal dollars are wisely spent on businesses and for tax cuts for the top 1% of earners. Lets spend more on the wealthy and the powerful, they are more likely to fund our next campaign.
It is the Tea Party's idea of redistribution of wealth.
wow .. I thought the act of violence on the train was bad .. the comments in the article below were not very flattering .. and now steamed comment naturally inane and Gramps comments typical dogmatic ranting and soap box worthy.
How someone can interject a political movement on some jerks beating and bullying someone up on the train is beyond belief, especially when there was no mention of political party/movement or motivation in the article.
Please provide link to statistics that indicate that there is an upward trend where blacks are attacking whites. My experience is that all hate crimes have being going down except for hate crimes against Mexicans.
I was responding in part to what steamed was saying, but mostly in response to what was happening in the news yesterday that I didn't see much discussion about.
The Tea Party budget deal is a great example of income redistribution in that it hurts nearly everyone under a certain income level and funnels some of the proceeds to those above that level.
It has nothing to do with the incident on the train, which isn't that interesting to me. I am sure people get roughed up all the time for all kinds of reasons. Maybe this guy made a mistake and thought it was white boy day, like Christian Slater in 'True Romance.' See below

If Debt Is the Problem, Why Do You Want More of It?
Ask a simple question and you get the same ol' rhetoric from the free spending .. blame everyone else party.
I keep hearing now that the dems are 'wiiling' to negotiate a higher ceiling .. they have to pay back all that debt incurred under the republicans the last few years. The only problem is that the dems have had control of congress for the past many years - the House and senate since 2007 - 2011 and the WH since 2008. The House was only won back this past year .. due to the fine efforts of the people wanting to limit spending. It amazes me how short peoples memories are ... this administration has racked up the debt more than ANY other administration EVAR !!!!
And does it really matter who incurred the debt - how we got here??? I think we know who did .. 535 members in congress and the WH. Do we know who's going to pay down the debt and come closer to a balanced budget .. it sure isn't going to be these dems ..and it won't be the repubs this year either unless they show some backbone.

Here is a good one.. It's tough to find stats on black on white crimes as they are frequently not reported, per FF request, in the hate crime stats as stated in the afore mentioned article. Civil rights laws were not passed to protect the rights of white men and do not apply to them -- Mary Frances Berry, Chairman, US Commission on Civil Rights. Our policy for the media is to not state the race of of the victims as this would be racists. By selective statistical production, from a government that is the only source able to produce statistics, we can control what can and can't be discussed, due to the lack of statistics to lie with. It is another proud tool in our arsenal. These sources would give unofficial stats, if we allowed them to report the race of the victim or slave owner descendant, but the media is not allowed to report the race, per our orders. Civil sources rights laws were not passed to protect the rights of white men, nor to give them information to defend themselves with. Sorry I can't provide the government stats you are looking for, as e don't allow such information to exist. It's an extension of Affirmative Action in progressive media news reporting.
Steamed: You should list the body counts on both side. On the African side an estimated 400 million dead over 400 years. How much dead on the European side? 100 or 200?.
Mr. stewartmo205 is right. We have had great success in eliminating many in Africa.. Many of our soldiers can't count so we don't have numbers. The number counts are pretty good in the US. Good numbers are here too.

You will notice this is occurring more and more frequently.. I think this is what is rightly happening: If the government will not provide further reparations for slavery and racism, angry former slaves will. This is part of the new slavery reparations, plan to return the pain to those that gave it, and at the same time pro-actively, symbolically, re-distribute the wealth that their forefathers gained through the use of slavery. Seriously, if these white men, native American men and other black men both here in the west and in Africa would have never made slaves of these people, this would never have happened. An eye for an eye. Karma. What goes around comes around. Unfortunately, due to all this hatred that US born minorities must undertake in the US, it prevents minorities from wanting to migrate to the US -- and preventing the diversity they would otherwise provide.
