TSA is another double edged sword... You would be the first to scream they should do more if we have another shoe bomber.. (that is with a dem in office, with a repub in office you would support it like you supported the patriot act)
I got the pat down and the hype really doesn't prepare you for what an anticlimactic event it actually is. Some dude pats you, so softly I could barely feel it and then they send you on your way.
Former MN governor Jesse Ventura has described it as 'a sexual assault' but he must have a much lower standard for what constitutes a sexual assault than I do. For one thing, I was not harmed in the slightest or in any way. It was a bit awkward for about 15 seconds and then you were on your way.
Either some TSA agents do this a LOT more aggressively, say with a cattle prod and a bullwhip, or the hype on this is way over the line.
Maybe they guy who patted you down had gentle hands. I feel that that people should keep their own hands to themselves. I really dislike having to take off my shoes and put them on again.
