I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that the reason the title was written the way it was is because the president offered a deal on the budget to the Speaker, who in turn rejected it.
The deal would have given the GOP everything it wants to insure a GOP victory next year, but the Speaker couldn't accept it because it had some tax increases for top earners and the GOP is going to insulate the top earners from anything they perceive as negative such as tax hikes. The pain instead is to be distributed entirely to the middle and lower income schmucks who don't give large campaign bucks to the GOP.
They were attempting to setup the GOP for a future loss and the democrats are the party of the super rich if you look into their power base.
Mr. gramps is 100% right. We are encouraged by his and Obama's bold stand against the negatively influential donations to politicians by the rich. The media gets tremendous credit as well in it's opposition to the "bribe" donations by selected groups seeking influence, and the refusal of the press to participate in this influence peddling..
Taxes .. Taxes .. Taxes .. spend more than you bring in ... MUCH MUCH more.
I'd like to see the American people get a better more balance budget - Not just the Democraps or Repugs or Obama won .... This is about America .. not political parties - although the folks in DC try to play this out as an us against them drama - and the sheeple fall for it.
I'd like to see where there are cuts in all departments and offices. I'd like to see everyone pay income taxes jut not 1/2 the people .. I'd like to see corporations actually pay their taxes.

Disgusting. Note that Boehner is the sole impasse here. The title could not be written as "Obama rejects John Boehner's Grand Bargain on Debt Ceiling" as it would be the reverse of the truth and therefore something that would need to be de-listed. Otherwise, could you post more cats, dogs, videos and side boobage posts instead of this political stuff that relates to repugs that makes my stomach want to eject the corn flakes we stole from a US Army logistics warehouse when it was unguarded during the US retreat from Afghanistan?
