The solution to this is so easy. To create jobs, progressives should start businesses, strictly for the purpose of hiring people, as the reason all businesses should be started. The progressive managers would get pay equal to the workers. If the business does not make enough money to pay overhead, and the the managers and unionized progressive workers pay multifaceted benefits, go to President BO for a taxpayer funded bailout. Just say the bailout is needed to encourage unionized workers to vote progressive. President can than give the bailout saying that it saved and created jobs. Why hasn't this been done already?

And, as always, the guy who had been president for 7 years when The Great Recession hit is still not at all responsible for any of this.
Likewise, whatever gains have been made from that point don't get the current president who spent cubic money to stave off total disaster, don't earn him any credit.

1. Try to get Mr. Big T off topic and defense of some other topic where you have a stronger case, such as:
2. Attack Mr. Big T so he will get ruffled and his ability to defend is weakened by other angry thoughts.
3. If step 2 is no go find conservative media that published the Rev. Wright article and attack the publication as being biased -- even though the article may be true -- to once again throw Mr. Big T off his feet so will will begin defending the source and legitimacy of the article.
4. If you hit a negative on step three, attack the site that posted the link, the writer of the article, ads on the site that posted the article or link,the webserver owner that owns the website space, and Google for indexing the site; all this in order to get Mr. Big T frazzled, defending the ISP, website and so on, and forgetting about the original topic of discussion.
5. No success so far? Blame it on Bush or any previous Republican or non-progressive administration. Always confirm that what is theirs is ours, what is ours is ours, and what belongs to everyone belongs to nobody (except our political leaders of course).
I am not blaming anyone. I am pointing out how the Blame Game works. I think I did that pretty well. 
Obama certainly deserves his fair share of the blame. I wish I would hear someone on the other side say the same thing about Bush.
And to be clear, Obama's fair share of the blame involves doing too little or not enough of the right thing to clean up the disasters he inherited.
Here is another opportunity for the aforementioned progressive job creation program: Hiring the unemployed who can't apply to job postings stating unemployed need not apply.
