I can just about promise you that neither Palin nor Trump will be on the GOP ticket next year. Neither one could afford the pay cut, for starters.
Very few people are all that impressed with Obama's leadership, but the difficult task for the GOP is finding someone who isn't a whole lot worse who can get through the insane primary process.
As for a Libertarian, 1% of the popular vote is a pipe dream totally out of reach.
The worst thing the GOP could do would be to put Palin on the ticket. I like her. I would love to go hunting with her and her dad. But I won't vote for her. If it came down to her or Barry, I would probably not vote for the first time in my adult life.
I have said plenty of times before, I like the hockey mom image, the down hominess, and so on, but politics aside (I really don't agree with her on much) she doesn't seem to have the wherewithal to be governor of Alaska, much less president of the United States.
In any case, she doesn't seem to really want the job, which reinforces her 'regular person' image. I mean, who would want that job, especially now?
I know Gingrich, Huckabee, and others want it, but at least they are people who seem to be able to handle the job if they got it.
More that Change for his buddies and not anyone else.

Great. I can't wait to go to the polls to choose between Obama, Palin or the Libertarian candidate that will get us started on the right fiscal path but will only get less than 1% of the popular vote.
