The point being that when industry takes on a project that is potentially dangerous to American citizens and/or the American environment, it is the responsibility of the US government to oversee that project with reasonable and adequate regulation.
People who are crying for the government to get off of their backs are really just asking for another Gulf Oil Disaster.

I won't argue that point. But this article is little more than a scare piece. Do you expect all of these preventative and remedial solutions to pop up over night and be put into place yesterday? And you think we should halt all domestic production until then?
