My mom tells stories of my gandma walking out into the yard, grabbing a goose or hen by the neck, whipping it around in the air a few times, then dropping it into a boiling kettle.
My grandma would lull them first and then quickly break their necks with a quick twist. That way the juicy chicken breast you're eating doesn't taste like fear and panic.
But the fear and panic are the best parts.
I watched my GrandMa when I was young kill a chicken! She swung it around and made like she was cracking a whip and the head came off in her hand! Cool!!
It is amusing and rewarding to watch Americans, stuck in the middle of the collapse of the US, having to learn how to regress and return to a primitive state of life, like much of the rest of the world already does. You will be mass slaughtering whales and dolphins next, begging for guns to hunt with, and fighting each other for water as your national infrastructure further collapses.
Fresh chicken is the best!

I wouldn't mind having a chicken or two so I could pick fresh eggs in the morning, however, the term "meat garden" kinda makes me a little queasy.
