Double the pay, not be entirely true ... 1/2 the work for those in the real world probably is more accurate. Once you include the benefits it is practically being in a union ... Federal jobs are not that efficient as the commercial/business world. The last several administrations seem to have grow govt ranks and with more regulators and paper pushers that don't much of value then it is really not a good way to spend tax payers money.
Both parties will change ... as the tea party is going to make the dems and repubs change the way they do business .. they will change or lose their jobs.
They will regret trying to play politics as usual in the long term with Tea Party aka the people getting tired of Politics as normal. I would rather see the Government ground to a halt than wasting trillions of our money every year.
In the long run it is likely that there will be no Tea Party (if there really is such a thing now).
Tea Party candidates that win in November will become Republicans. Those who lose will be forgotten. Either way, no one left in the Tea Party.
And did you ever wonder where the Tea Party got the wherewithal to generate so much publicity and so much public interest coming from nowhere? I am sure you haven't, but I have and it seems odd to me that FOX NEWS was covering them from the very beginning, giving them all the air time they needed to get out their original message, which sounded like health insurance talking points on steroids, what with Death Panels and Obama as Joker, Karl Marx, and so on. Well planned, well organized, good logistical support, and well funded right from Day One.

It is far less likely that a REAL grass roots organization came from nothing into national prominence , complete with sympathetic cable news channel coverage and corporate funding in a matter of weeks.

why do people claim that the government helps creates jobs? Since you can't cut spending and reduce the size of government won't create jobs? WTF wrong with people? Creating Federal jobs is not a real job and those morons get paid close to double those in the real world.
