Make sense to support those that you know vote the way you want them to! You never really know what you are going to get with a newly elected politician, so you only support them in races where you know the incumbent is opposed to your values!
What if you are a union member and don't want to support the dems?
Is this any worse or better or the same as corporations giving $100 million to a candidate.
The epitome of the Health Care bill was when the unions had more of a say in the special interest deals going on than the repubs did .. frickin' crazy and wrong. So the average voter who had repubs represent them had less of a voice than a few union good ol' boys. BTW, not that the average union member had much of a say .. but the boys at the top of the food chain got to make those deals as well.
Don't know about all the rest but in my Union political contributions were voluntary! I would consider any Union member that voted Republican brain damaged anyhow! He should move to Tennessee, North Carolina, or one of those other so called "Right to Work" States!
