Here is the whole text and video of the interview with madcow She didn't want to badger him for an answer .. but she kept badgering and while she never really responded to his remarks but kept saying the same questions over and over.

Was he 'acting' foolishly, seems like we had a president acting foolishly over a racial issue .. just not too long ago?

Was it like he was in the KKK or something like that ... not like the longest serving democrat in the Senate - ask Senator Byrd about that. Like he would give an honest answer like Rand Paul has.

The questions that come our about the civil rights act back in 1964 ... so many democrats voted against this bill as well.

The problem is that Rand Paul was giving honest answers and was not giving some BS answers like 95% of the politicians would and do give.

His "honest" answer makes him sound like an asshole. It not the fault of a reporter, a question, an article or anything else, its just his answer making him sound like an ass.. We hear alot about the blame game in politics. This a prime example.

Yep, now the PGA can keep Tiger Woods out, and Country clubs can go back to their White Protestants only memberships! Of course this is far short of the Ideal for the Republicans who would love to turn back the clock to when they could sell the Laborer with the land he worked on. it was called serfdom back then! It's wonder that no one has thought of inherited debt and the company store thing like they have in India, that would take care of the whole Union thing also!

Did you call Obama an A**Hole for his comments about the policeman who acted foolishly .. I thought not.

You're blaming some guy because he tries to have a serious discussion and the media starts badgering him .. madcow was not a good interviewer, she interject too much of what she thought i,to the interview .. what kind of news is that .. if Hannity had done this you would have called him a jerk .. well what do you call madcow for her interview .. and not letting him even finish some of his points .. she was so fired up and wanted to make a point. crappy media.

Here a lot of blame game in politics .. I think we have a president who is often wagging his finger at people and a congress that blames the minority party for all the problems.

Don't be stupid. Rand Paul did not say he supported segregation. Not even close.

But he did say he opposed federal efforts to oppose segregation, lynching, etc.

Lynching was not mentioned in this interview at all .. lunch was mentioned several times by the leading questions from madcow ... not lynch

PAUL: Well, I think what you've done is you bring up something that really is not an issue, nothing I've ever spoken about or have any indication that I'm interested in any legislation concerning. So, what you bring up is sort of a red herring or something that you want to pit. It's a political ploy. I mean, it's brought up as an attack weapon from the other side, and that's the way it will be used. But, you know, I think a lot of times these attacks fall back on themselves, and I don't think it will have any effect because the thing is, is that every fiber of my being doesn't believe in discrimination, doesn't believe that we should have that in our society. And to imply otherwise is just dishonest.

I thought he never responded with a good answer, although I agree with him in principle. He thinks, like I do, that the federal government shouldn't be running our lives and businesses.

Government shouldn't be telling me that I can't smoke in my own restaurant. Government shouldn't be telling me I have to install a $100.000 elevator. Government shouldn't be telling me I have to buy insurance for my employees. And government shouldn't be telling me who I can and can't serve in my business.

Where does the power of the federal government end? Ending segregation was and is a good thing, IMHO, but a federal government that can force a good thing on you can also force a bad thing on you. And probably will, eventually.

Didn't you hear what Woody Allen had to say ..... "it would be good if [President Obama] could be a dictator for a few years because he could do a lot of good things quickly.

That would probably work out for ole Woody until the dictator decided to put all old, step-daughter-marrying, sick, pedophile, freaks in prison.

I think this is more a Mr Smith Goes To Washington moment. The MSM blows completely out of context something this man said .. putting words into his mouth .. stating for fact something that this guy never said. This is an example of how very powerful people can control the media for their own means. Why would the media want to destroy Rand Paul .. because he threatens the the status quo in DC and New York. I doubt that 90% of the people griping about this have even heard or read the interview ... just parrots mimicking what some other parrot has spouted. Madcow was putting words into Rand Pauls mouth that all of a sudden became his words. Although he stated over and over he was for the civil rights act .. the sheeple have continued saying that he wanted to repeal civil rights. If you ask yourself .. why the big flap over some guy who just won the right to run as a senator .. he's not even the senator yet .. ask yourself why the big flap.

This was a bigger story than the varmint that ran across the path of Obama who was praising the senate bill on how Wall Street and bankers could now fleece America. You have to do some real fact digging to see what the Senate actually voted on .. but in about 100 left leaning blog sites and media sites you can read what Rand Paul was supposed to have said but didn't. Even the established repubs are running away from him .. do you think the established repub cronies want anything to do with a Tea Partier in DC ... no way. They will also throw the baby out with the bath water.

Try to have an intellectual discussion and say what is on your mind .. then the MSM will twist those words and use them for their own devise. Got any idea why Obama hides all his college transcripts and records ... it is better to hide the truth or be dishonest in politics than to be forthright.

Ron Paul was called a racist many times by those who hate him because there were racist articles in a newsletter he didn't write or control or edit ... 30 years of congressional record and speeches show he is not a racist, yet many simple minded people today still insist that he supports the KKK.
