That's probably true. As if the Dems liked any of Bush's appointments.

Yep, but G.W. Got what he wanted! Chief Justice Roberts was confirmed by a Senate vote of 78-22 on September 29, 2005; Justice Alito was confirmed by a vote of 58-42 on January 31, 2006.

I saw a Ramussen poll on Kagen the other day .. ~1/3 liked her, ~/1/3 didn't like her and ~ 1/3 didn't know .. pretty much down party lines dem, repub, independent. She hasn't even had her interviews and the press and people are fighting over her.

She hasn't written very many papers - so it would be hard to gauge how she would vote on certain issues, she was not a judge (Red Flag), she is very smart (Plus), Most say she is a very demanding and fair person (Plus) Ivy League Harvard School Dean (Not a plus for me), a Goldman Sachs adviser (Red Flag), Ties to Larry Sumners (GS and WH adviser - Red Flag). I don't like her ties to Goldman Sachs and Larry Sumner at all. I do not want anyone in the Supreme Court with that sort of resume. Call me silly but I don't see how people can trust that bunch of Wall Street Crooks and she was an adviser to them and was paid rather nicely. Well maybe she is impartial .. but her ties to Larry Sumners would suggest otherwise.

Kagan sat on a Goldman Sachs advisory council between 2005 and 2008. It was her job to offer analysis and advice to Goldman Sachs and its clients.

Also Kagans connection to Larry Summers, the former Undersecretary for International Affairs in the Clinton administration and chief economist the World Bank. Summers also worked in 2006-2008 for a derivatives firm, D.E. Shaw and was paid around five million dollars. Is she a bankers operative ... I think so

I think Obama who worked with her in Chicago and Wall Street have a candidate they can endorse ... Obama can certainly make his choice but I do not like her Wall Street ties and her lack of judicial experience and lack of written papers.
