there are so many other ways to interpret those remains... and I'm sure the truth which will be even more different... they really need to stick to the facts and leave the interpretation out of it.
My mom always told me that I could loose my head if it wasn't firmly attached. I just assumed that was an old expression, but maybe it has a basis in fact. Perhaps these guys had heads that weren't as firmly attached, and they lost them. Later, when they died, someone found their heads and buried the heads with the rest of their bodies, so they could be reattached in the Afterlife by a really good, but dead, cosmetic surgeon.
(Just makin' up a story as plausible as the one made up by the archeologist.)
