Be glad the president isn't Mandingo or Lexington Steele.
*comment clap for the pr0n reference.
/question to self: Does it make me a perv to have caught on to the pr0n reference?
/answer to self: Nah, you da man dawg!
HA! Porn is practically pop culture for adults.
Tell me you don't crack a smile when you hear the title Chitty Chitty Gang Bang.
Correction: Rupert Murdoch writes ......... What government by Majority rule became nasty all of a sudden?
60 votes should be required. the morons who came up with this idea should be flogged.
Seemed to work just fine for the Republicans in prior years. Don't remember a big stink about it then!
It should have not be good then and should not be now.
The filibuster is a rule. It is not in the constitution. It's an arbitrary rule created by senators to give the senate a lot of leverage over the house when drafting legislation.
Good, anything is better than what we have now.
showing that you have never bothered to read much of the health care "reform" bill that will ruin this country, since it is just the first step in Government abuse of power in the most personal details of our lives.
Telling insrance companies not to abuse you is an abuse of power?
who paying the bill? they are and they have a contact with you when you have health insurance.
You just love to lick those boots, don't you?
Whomever you pay for health care insurance is gonna have a lot of power to decide what you get and don't get.
What I don't understand is that for conservatives, it is fine when Blue Cross or UHC does it, but an intolerable tyranny when the government gets involved.
Can't you guys see you are being worked up into a frenzy by people who are protecting their own power? Flat out, if you have been convinced that health care reform is an abomination, you have been hoodwinked, just as you were back when you believed 100% that Saddam had those WMD and presented a great and growing threat to the security of the US. The same liars and spinners and telling you that health care reform is the End of The World.
In truth, if it works out, it will make a national disgrace a little less terrible.
but the biggest problem is that YOU have not been able to tell me why THIS reform bill is really good for us? I don't want the government involved in MANY things and health care is one of them. I don't give a @#$@#$ about WMD, I would have wiped out saddam for breathing for failing to meet his restrictions. We have been hoodwinked by our corrupt government who spend money worst then a sailor with drug, gambling, and women problems using our wallets! you don't double how much we own to create a new entitlements and save bad companies, or spend more than you have even in a good economy. You follow the Constitution limits of government and fight wars properly. None of this limited engagement that will get more civilians and solders killed.
We wasted more of that same money you referenced in Iraq than the reform will cost, but for some reason, those dollars are different to you. In other words, the non-productive dollars we spent deposing a dictator who wasn't going anywhere seem more productive to you than the dollars which would bring health care to millions of Americans who don't have it now.
It is something that never ceases to amaze me.
But to answer your question, this Bill, regardless of which one they finally pass, is at best a band aid on a broken system. If we pull it off, it will be a small first step in correcting what is currently a major national disgrace, 40 million Americans without health insurance.
I just sat next to an insurance company executive at medical meeting who told me that so many uninsured is shameful to our country.
Health care reform isn't a made up problem spun to a fever pitch for the purpose of a political power grab. The war in Iraq best fits that description. The issue of millions without coverage and health care costs running wild is REAL problem, that demands a real solution.
Saddam was a bad guy, but we could have waited him out without spending hundreds of billions of dollars and untold lives deposing him for having weapons he didn't have. You are having a difficult time distinguishing between real problems and made up ones.
Health care is a NOT right. It is NOT and should be treated as such. We need to correct the problems that Congress/President have caused for decades and make the entire system private. Federal Government should not be in the medical system and even FDA is pushing it. Fix the cost issues and walk away. Why does every pansy depend on the government to "fix" their problems? The "fix" is generally worst than the cure.
Don't bitch about Iraq to me, It should have been done the correct way and we would have been out of there already.

Bush shoved wars down our throat, now Obama is ready to do the same with health care.
It's time for a revolution.
