One could say the same of Leiberman.
The whole anti-reform movement is little more than a health insurance fueled event. But they do it in a devious and dishonest way, so it isn't blatantly obvious that the anti-reform propaganda is coming from them.
Here are a couple of clues;
Many who oppose reforms either confuse or are pretending to confuse the present reforms with Single Payer (like Canada) or with Socialized medicine, where there is a single payer AND doctors work for the government as well (like Britain) Neither has been proposed for the US, so why waste time fighting against something which isn't even really happening? The answer is that what these two systems have in common, Single Payer & Socialized Medicine, besides the fact that they are both NOT part of the Obama proposals, is that they eliminate private insurance companies. My guess is that private insurance companies don't like either idea, so they are fighting against them, rather than what is actually being proposed. It makes more sense for them to fight that fight and try to down play what they really want, which is to be left alone to do business the way they want to which is what we have had since 1993.
