I have personally met John Boehner. He is far from being a jerk and his comments here are being taken out of context. His concern is that there has been no attempt to work together to date and no public viewing of any meetings to date. Now all of a sudden, and after a majority of the American people have voiced there displeasure with the way things have been going, Obama steps up and acts like he is here to unify the effort and will even do it for all the people to see. Yeah right. Boehner smells the BS and I agree with him.
Interesting that he makes this offer ONLY after the Dems don't have full stamp authority .. only after Teddy's senate position was lost to a Repub.
The guys talks out of the side of his mouth .. no really he does .. just watch him.
This is a terrible article. It outright distorts everything Boehner said. If you read the actual quotes (rather than the articles "interpretation" of them), Boehner's concern deals with the idea that this may be turned into a political show rather than a truly bipartisan event. Democrats are going to wander around, posing for pictures of shaking hands with Republicans, make claims of working together, and ultimately nothing actually happens. Boehner seems to be fine if they merely film the actual process, but he isn't going to waste time making political points.
Uh, the debates have NOT been televised.
Obama was lying then and he is lying now.
You are correct sir! Obama is a liar of the highest rank and hopefully his nose will start to grow....
only when I say something you don't like
