Sounds like they need another useless Summit that pumps another 40,500 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. That'll show everyone how serious the problem is.

This is just like the tobacco 'debate' in the 80's. Ignore the fact that a lot of smokers get sick, what is really important is that this one guy made an error in his research paper, and some other guy fudged some numbers in another, so you just know that the entire field of study (consisting of thousands of studies)is totally bogus.

It doesn't sound so bad when you say it like that. So let's read what really happened.

"The scientist behind the bogus claim in a Nobel Prize-winning UN report that Himalayan glaciers will have melted by 2035 last night admitted it was included purely to put political pressure on world leaders.

Dr Murari Lal also said he was well aware the statement, in the 2007 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), did not rest on peer-reviewed scientific research."

This isn't minor. The "scientist" lied in a Nobel-Prize winning report specifically designed to influence world leaders. It's the same type of lying and collusion found in the climate-gate emails. BTW peer-review is one of the foundations of good science. The lack of peer-review is unacceptable for this type of major, award winning publication, just as it would be for any other scientific publication.
