Deporting every person of ANY nationality or description is an incredibly stupid idea if it is whispered in a bar between drunks, much less by an elected official of the US government out loud with journalists nearby.
But that does remind of of something a guy said to me after the 9/11 attacks. This guy was born in Iran and has that very distinctive Iranian accent, but has lived in the US all of his adult life and is now an elderly man. He is highly educated and has a very professional job, and is a soberly serious individual. In all the years I have known him he has never cracked a joke or even a smile.
He told me that the Persian nation is many thousands of years old, one of the oldest civilizations known. He said that in all that time, there were a half dozen or so serious problems between the Persians and the Jews. But with the Arabs, he said, it is every single day! He said this as if it were the funniest thing he ever thought of.
If this political hack Yay-Hoo thinks Iranians are in league with al Qaeda, then he doesn't know his Shiites from his Sunnis, among other things.
