What I want to know is, what was on the form before 1950, if Negro has been on it since then?
Broken link! At one time I think they broke it down into Mulatto, Quadroon, Octroon, Maybe Colored was one of them, since Red Foxx insisted he Wasn't Black he was Colored!
I know an 96-year-old lady who still says "colored". I remember my Lithuanian great-grandma using that term up until she died in the early 70's.
worked before madville put text null after html..... backspace delete the null and it opens fine

I'm offended by the white option, guess people can't spell Caucasian.
I'm being sarcastic BTW, they could put honky or cracker on it for all I care. Just saying, other's could complain about their race option...
Ah, Caucasia. I've never been to the motherland...
You can badmouth my nationality all you want, but you best not imply that white chocolate is in any way actual chocolate. I'm just sayin.
I want the census to include 'Nordic' or 'Descendant of Viking', not Caucasian. I would however agree with 'Caucasoid'.
mmmmmm white chocolate bark with almonds.....mmmmmmmm

or white chocolate covered pop corn
No actual chocolate was used in the making of those tasty confections.
Norsk/Frog/Slav.
I think people have too little to worry about in their lives if they are concerned about the racial stuff on census forms.
But having said that, if they use the term "Negro" on the form for people of African descent, I shutter to think of what they are calling those of Arabic descent.
