It is not who is spending the money that's important because in the end it always comes out of your pocket. Therefore what is important is how much that is spent and what you get for it. Based on what's going in the world, government health care is cheaper and better. That's a fact no matter how you try to spin it. Health care is too expensive and too vital for it to be left only to corporations. A combination of government and private hospital and insurers would be the best option. The government will provide the essential service and the private corporation will provide exculsive service to those who can afford their prices. The government run health care would remove all non-healthcare related expenses like billing, profit, executive compensation, lobbying and advertisement leaving only healthcare. It would wring 50% of the cost out of healthcare. Private insurers and hospitals will survive like private schools.
