I would listen to what this guy has to say if there really was any proposal for the government to take over health care. As far as I know there isn't.
I am going to have to call you out on this one. You know Obama is attempting to nationalize health care; therefore, sir, you are a liar.
But what is funny (ironic funny not ha-ha funny) is that members of Congress actually do get government run health care, and you don't hear any of them complaining about it.
I've heard that argument before, and it is complete bullshit. Congressmen are compensated the same as any government employee, who are compensated exactly the same as those in private industry. I speak from firsthand experience, as I have previously worked in private industry, and I currently work for the government.
If we could just get past the scare mongering and start talking about what is really going on, oh, sorry, that would mean that the GOP would have to start talking about reality, and that would hurt their bought and paid for by insurance lobbyists message.
Yes, because the Democrats clearly live in reality, except the part where they tried to silence the Republican congressman from stating in public the partisan actions by Speaker Nancy Pelosi to try to shove this through without open and fair discussion. You don't decry her actions at all, and yet you want us to believe that the Republicans are fear-mongering? Why don't you actually try to start talking about reality, instead of fear-mongering for the Democratic party? Oh, I forgot, that would require you to give up your political Kool-Aid.
Partisan politics aside, the health care bill clearly violates the Constitution of the United States, just as the actions of the past several Presidents have done. The Democrats cried foul when Bush did it, but now that Obama does it, its okay, because they claim to be trustworthy. The simple fact is both parties would sell the American people up the river for a new car, and we shouldn't trust anyone arguing for less freedoms for the American people.
Not only is it OK with 'most' of the Dems - they want to rush it through - they are bent on getting to hell in a hand basket the fastest way possible.
Yet another practicing medical Doctor serving in congress saying this bill is crap and it will break this country. Why don't shouldn't they be listened to more closely instead of so many other talking heads in congress. It doesn't matter though to the sheeple that have it their mind that the govt is going to save you. The MSM is ramming it down peoples throats as well.
Gramps .. the only way I think you would listen to this guy if he had a "Dem' next to his name and not "Repub".
How about get the fraud out of the current system?
You see articles like this all the time ..
U.S. Charges 61 in Medicare Crackdown
Watertown whistleblower gets $10 million in Medicaid fraud suit against New York
The govt doesn't really know how much fraud there is - some say 10% and I've seen upwards to 30-40% fraud claimed ... does that scare you at all ... and many want to make the system bigger!!!
Gramps
