It isn't beyond comprehension that bears are drowning due to insufficient ice is some places, AND that they are overpopulated in others.
That, however, doesn't excuse the behavior of either PETA or Greenpeace.
The polar bears aren't drowning because of melting ice. The polar bears are drowning, and keep in mind we are talking a HANDFUL here, because MORE polar bears are swimming. Or at least swimming and being spotted.
Why, we have no idea. If you want to bring the environment into the speculation, depleted sea life and stormier weather are probably the areas to start, not melting ice.
