No reason to do it except to protect the US from outrage over Bush era excesses.

Not exactly the change a lot of us were looking for. I would rather let it all hang out and let the Bushies suffer the consequences.

Obama wanted to show what a dastardly lot the Bushies were - of course the guys who did it are still working for Obama and did not appreciate being made to look bad, much less a little egg on all of Americas face. So the superficial Obama team scores points and makes Bush and America look bad. What does Obama care, he appears to be made of teflon as the masses love him .. so the press says.
