I have to admit, I'm very shocked by your statement. While I agree those in charge of Freddie Mac (and most banks in general) have been extremely greedy and should definitely be fired from their positions, I'm not certain any of these individuals even committed a crime, much less have done something worthy of death! I think its a little extreme to suggest people should be taking their life over this. People (and America in general) can and will recover, but to do so we need to stop contemplating what brought us here (beyond remembering it so we don't repeat these mistakes), accept the fact that we are here, and begin working hard to build a better tomorrow.
I wasn't referring to bankers.
I been working hard all my life... its time for everyone else to play catch up... you gonna eat that pudding cup???
Fair enough, now that I re-read you comment, you didn't state that, I just inferred it (incorrectly) from your comments.
That being said, suicide is a very nasty affair, and while it there may be a few people who deserve to die, I'm not certain the families and/or friends deserve the fallout from such an act.
I don't believe that suicide is ever the correct answer for any type of problem.
However, there have been a few instances in the news over the past few months about people who have decided to take the life/lives of others before taking their own. In those situations, I believe that the taking of their own life without harm to others would have been a far better decision.

I don't particularly disagree with any point you've just made, although ideally I wish suicide (or murder, or a lot of things) wouldn't ever happen (for want of a perfect world, right?).
they will never happen in your new world... how is America Part Deux coming along?
I never said that in the country I would prefer to live in such things wouldn't happen, and that you suggest something like that is a logical fallacy (specifically false attribution). What sets some of my ideas apart from the bullshit of politicians currently in charge is that I know I can not prevent such things, and in the country I would prefer to live in, billions wouldn't be wasted in false hope.
here you went on in great detail about starting a new country... perhaps I mis-read it?

Yes, you absolutely misread it. I happen to hold the opinion that I would like to live in a country that has a government that puts the most control closest to the country's citizens. That was the initial idea for America, but America seems to have drifted a bit away from it. However, I do not have some naive idea that by putting the control closer to the people, all of a country's problems will magically disappear. It just creates a different set of problems for the country to deal with. I think this quote most succinctly expresses my opinion:
I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it. - Thomas Jefferson
Death, in general sucks BIG TIME.
Death. Just say NO!
A friend of mine likes to point out that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
On the other hand, it looks as if suicide is likely to be the only punishment any of these folks are likely to receive for wrecking our economy. It isn't justice, but it is something.
They are missing it isnt suicide... It's Hari Kiri .. and not the white sox broadcaster either.
slowly strangling in a basement isnt a high priority pick for most... a good blade right thru the bowels will restore honor..
Shows how much you know. Harry was the announcer for the Chicago Cubs.
Well then Obamas number will be up in a few years then.
A bigger question did he commit suicide .. or did 'some one' commit suicide to him .. was there a conspiracy to silence the man?.
I was thinking about that and comparing it to the suicide of the Enron guy (which that article at the end also does). However, at this moment, I consider two deaths to be somewhat of a stretch for conspiracy.
There were no Clintons involved.
huh ... no Clintons involved ... not that you know of, maybe that is one of the reasons he was offed .. or maybe he was going to spill the beans on some one else ... more than likely he committed suicide due to his depression.
He fought for the poor in his private life and he fought for the poor in public life by assuring that those who could not afford mortgages, be given taxpayer money to buy a mortagage so they could at least taste it just a while before the pre-determined collapse came. He will be honored by those who controlled and directed him.
