Unlike New Orleans, these people had the food and the strength and the vehicles to save themselves, unfortunately, as were the folks in Hurricane Rita, unfortunately. Do not try to blame these failed dams on Obama either as he had no knowledge of their condition, unlike Bush in New Orleans. Do not try to say the deserving poor in New Orleans should have done the same to take care of themselves as the people in the pictures. The New Orleans folks were fully dependent on government, as they should be, and it was Bush's fault that he did not realize that some are able to care for themselves and some are trained not be.
Red River Flooding would be a good name for a rock band, or as a euphemism for that time of the month.
