GM has been in decline for many years. The company has lost most of its former value since this CEO, who has worked for GM for over 30 years, took over as chief executive officer.
Bush's people were openly antagonistic to the Big Three American auto makers and even more hostile towards the unionized American workers that were employed there. Remember the smear campaign that claimed that guys working the assembly lines were making $75 per hour? Sure you do, you helped to spread that lie.
But what is funny, in a sad and pathetic kind of way, is that now you choose to forget all of that long, bad history and blame the American president, who has been in office since Jan 20, just over 2 months for 100% of a corporate and government failure that has been many years in the making.
Even more pathetic is the desperate wholesale projecting of everything that was wrong, or dishonest about the Bush administration onto the new Obama administration. How many people do you think are going to be fooled by this most transparent bit of bait and switch?
Mr. Gramps is right, They make $75.00 an hour with all benefits included; they pocket a measly $55.00 an hour, about twice what the average American worker makes. The auto workers will be happy to share that wealth to level the playing field with the the average American worker, I am sure. Laid off auto workers get paid and even more measly $31.00 an hour to drink cheap beer in front of the television
Don't bring Dem or Repub into the discussion .. this outright stealing by the CEO's. The stock holders should be suing his ass ..... and so many other CEO's that have walked away with millions and millions and left the company in a sad shape. Happened under Clinton, GW and Obama - it doesn't matter who is controlling the WH or congress .... just follow the money trail and you'll see that stealing is a human flaw and not JUST a Dem or Repub.
i feel bad for this guy.
i really do.
I feel sorry for his family and friends .. the rich millionaire loser will probably have more time to spend with them. I guess they'll have to suffer together on trips to Tahiti and the likes.
I am hurt, however, that Obama's GM bankruptcy procedures, and demands for union wage negotiations, will hurt the unions credibility and wallets. This is very un-Obama of him.

This is all Obama's fault. He's running the auto industry, all the fuck-ups belong to him.
Impeach Obama!
