No one knows how many deaths, how many casualties, how many refugees because no one is counting.

What we do know is that a LOT of people have been killed, many more have been hurt, and even more have fled their homes in Iraq.

Arguing over the numbers is pointless, because we don't have numbers.

I would like to see someone held accountable for the trillion dollar disaster as well as the endless human suffering.

The way it stands now is that Bush declared an 'Intelligence Failure', gave the head of the Intelligence services the Medal of Freedom and that is the end of it.

There have been 1 million Iraqi casualties, caused by US occupied warfare, since the first Gulf Invasion under Bush Sr.

Despite this fact, Alex Jones is still a self-serving, egomaniac, fear mongering, benefiting from suffering, controlled opposition twat.

So why has Super-Patriot-Hero-Fundamentalist-Christian-Evolution Denying-Multi Millionare-bigot Ron Paul appeared on the Alex Jones show no less than 30 times, and in multiple Jones documentaries?

Well, your 1 million deaths is a number generated by a shit web counter based on a single cluster study by the lancet.

The lancet study itself can't be sure of their number of roughly 600,000 and say it may be as high as 900,000 or as low as 300,000. Back in 2006. The study HAS been peer reviewed, but a lot of statisticians disagree with the methodology, and not all of the methodology has been disclosed.

The study members themselves admit that the results can be skewed simply due to the fact that there is a lot of bombing going on, and the methods of choosing cluster samples can hav a trend towards and all or nothing result in a cluster. What they don't claim is an issue though, is that the results are entirely based on interviews of victims, and that statements can be exagerated. Their response to that, is if it works for estimating malaria deaths, why shouldn't it work for war. The answer to that is malaria doesn't play politics. It doesn't make someone feel self rightous to distort the number of people killed by malaria.

Finally, the ultimate reason that it is likely rejected by most is that any deaths by violence above the base mortality rate pre-war are blamed on the US, because somehow, IEDs are incabable of killing innocent bystanders.

Sorry, just saw this had been responded to. My statement was:

"There have been 1 million Iraqi casualties, caused by US occupied warfare, since the first Gulf Invasion under Bush Sr."

The FIRST Gulf Invasion under Bush Sr. claimed as many as 100,000 casualties, both Iraqi soldier and civilian alike, with other estimates reaching hundreds of thousands.

In both Gulf conflicts I don't think it would be mere speculation to conclude that as many as 1 million Iraqis (with enormous numbers of civilians) have been killed through direct result of U.S. occupation.

DRONES, a huge portion of this is due to remote control robot drones, striking strategic, though heavily populated, areas.

History might tell us, 10 years from now if we make it, that 1 million casualties is actually too LOW an estimation. And we're not even talking about the tens of thousands of U.S. vets who are going to suffer from physical and mental scars, disabilities, for the rest of their lives.

Lancet "Study" debunked

and And Here

Shoddy statistics can prove just about anything.

Not saying there has been too many deaths in Iraq .. there has.

Imagine some one on TV or or radio with any opinion or twist, slant on the news and facts. I think Alex Jones is a tool - that doesn't mean that all the stuff he has on his show is BS... just like all the crap that comes from your keyboard is BS and vile.

Ron Paul has done thousands of interviews on radio, TV and the internet so that he can get his views to the country - he does not have the luxury of being a favorite and a puppet of the Wall Street Moguls as Obama, Hillary, McCain and others have.

All the stuff that comes from my keyboard is BS and vile? Because I don't support Ron Paul? You don't even know me dude. If Alex Jones is a tool (which we both agree on) then why has Ron Paul appeared on the Alex Jones show 20 or 30 times over the past 5 years, and been willingly featured in multiple documentaries from this film maker? And again, believe what you will but I have little doubts, nor does any media outlet mainstream or alternative, that since the FIRST GULF WAR 1 million Iraqis have been killed as a result of the conflict. Lancet can be debunked until the cows come home, but we're still talking multiple other polls which show results in the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis just since 2003.
