It probably has more to do with getting out of Iraq, which will save hundreds of billions of dollars in Defense spending.
Sadly, the last 6 years of the Iraq War has cost less than Obama's stimulus spending in the last 2 months.
Well, he isn't going to spend all that money in 2 months, it is going to be spread out over a period of time, some short term, some long term.
And hopefully, it will be more productive spending than some of the Iraq spending, which went to line the pockets of politically connected contractors, with no oversight. I'm not saying that Obama's spending WILL be more productive, just that I hope so, for the sake of everyone in America that still has a job and a home.
Yeah, the whole contractor thing has been been a fluster cluck. Well, really, most of the war spending has been. But I'm honestly hoping Obama pulls our economy out of the gutter.
Yeah, at this point it is beyond political.
To hope Obama fails is to hope for a return to the Great Depression. From what my parents told me about it, it wasn't really all that 'great.'
No political talking point is worth going through that again.
If he succeeds you can always give the credit to someone else, Bush perhaps or maybe Rush, and vote against him in '12.
