This article elicited a statement from Phuff:

Democratic socialized health care rationing, modeled after Canada's and UK's, which only provides expensive health care to the young, is a great way to carry out genocide of the old, under the name of cost savings. The old are often conservative voters and any way to arrange their termination is welcome. With only the liberal young left totally dependent on health care paid for by the estates of the dead conservatives -- which the government will now disallow being moved to the conservative's children but instead confiscated by the government to buy liberal votes with --- will guarantee solid victories by the Democrats in the future.

From: "The Wisdom of Fhuff the Camel"

Give a man a fish and he will become a government dependent progressive voter. Teach a man to fish and he become a self sufficient and conservative Angel of Satan. Biden 3:24

This is the same policy health care companies have.

Correct me if I am wrong Mac, but doesn't it depend on the type of policy you have with your health care company?

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Really, Health care companies can shut down a medical practice because they denied coverage, and the patient decided to pay for it themselves?

News to me there.

Yes, but how many people can afford a $2000/month health plan for their families?

Here's a little something to clear up the misconceptions people have about the bill.

AOA medical society analysis of House and Senate versions of the bill.

Basically, Betsy McCaughey is just being hysterical and ignorant.

Did you read your own document? Bottom of page 3.

It says in it that the house version of the bill is in fact ambiguous as to government being able to alter coverage based on clinical effectiveness. The senate one prohibits is, and the AOA states they support the senate version.

And as botha gun owner, and a resident of NJ. I warn you and anyone who will listen about fill in the blank legislation that leaves things undefined and able to be redefined at the dictate of a non-elected official. It NEVER, EVER works out well.

Reply to MacThulhu:

No actually, we should be hitting the alarm more often and louder.

We need to stop stupid crap before it becomes law.

As for this even being part of the stimulus bill, it's kind of stupid. The only part remotely close to relevant is the electronic records system MIGHT create IT jobs, except since standards would have to be developed, you are probably more than ayear out form that.
