There have always been those people who have a paranoid and twisted view of reality. In the 1970's, comedians made fun of people who thought that the space program was a fraud but that wrestling was real.
Remember back in the 90's when certain people came out and said that the Y2K problem was going to crash all technology on Earth and that there was nothing mankind could do to prevent it?
Today we are dealing with those who thing the Flying Spaghetti Monster is real and that global warming is a lie.
Personally, I don't care what people choose to believe, but I don't want any more of those reality deniers running our government.
If we start explaining large parts of our nature with meta-physical non-provable beings, all science will stop developing (I almost wrote evolve
). There is no longer a need to search after truth, just explain this little quirk by blaming it on the bearded guy in the sky.
This will, as all thinking individuals can see, lead to a corrupt and perverse science, and make it a tool in hands of power and money hungry. That would be sad, because then it does not work to benefit mankind.

I find this funny, but I'm too scared to laugh
