Terrorists hurt and kill people, that's what they do. We don't have to give them what they want just because they are barbarians. Just the opposite, we have to resist them because they are civilization-hating thugs. It has been 1000 years since the last Dark Age, we sure as hell don't need another one.

I think you missed his point, maybe his expensive haircut is to blame, but in any case, our side is fighting the war on terror for political debating points, kind of like bumper sticker slogans. Over 40% of Americans still think Iraq was involved in the 9/11/01 attacks, because Bush and his supporters played Mr Subliminal. Whenever 9/11 was mentioned, they were sure to say the names "Saddam Hussein" and "Iraq" and "weapons of mass destruction" right away. Of course they never said that Iraq was involved in the attacks, they just let the public draw that conclusion through endless repetition.
Al Qaeda and bin Laden are deadly serious, as are a lot of other terrorists, but we haven't paid much attention to them. We have spent our time, and money, and blood going after the usual suspects and not the real bad guys.
To be candid, I don't pretend to know if Bush is stupidly incompetent, a pathologic liar, or if someone else besides him is calling the shots. But we are fighting the war on terror in a way that is making the problem worse, and someone has to change that.
Let me call the shots, so we'll detain every family member of these terrorists and send back to the stone age anyone helping them. even our so-called "friends"
