well, I know in nj, after katrina, 400 stations were inspected, and 100 of them were in violation. Basically meaning you weren't getting the right octane, or you weren't getting the gallon you paid for.

covered more brands than exxon and mobile though.

that's different than price gouging -- what they're doing there is fraud...either way though, it's pretty darn despicable...

Dear United States Congress:

Please, please, please do something productive with your work-day. For once. Just for me, if for no other reason. Another meeting/hearing/inquiry will accomplish the exact same thing the last one that you attended: dick-squat. Here's a thought. Explain to me how you justify giving a company that made $10B in the 3Q of FY05 a tax break. I won't hold my breath for your response.

Sincerely,
Abes

Most people:
- minus the times its snowing
- minus those who have to travel busy city highways to work (unless you have a death wish)
- minus the times it rains
- minus the times its too cold
- minus those who have to bring large tools and such to work

maybe that should read: "which is all a select few people need during ideal days to get back and forth to work"

I hate people that laugh at high gas prices and think only of themselves, I drive a compact car that gets 33 mpg, I'll stick with that thanks, and even at that mpg its still too high.

I was thinking of myself...However I live in arizona and we have no weather...when it rains I just drive my VW...killer gas milage there too...As far as traversing busy highways...if everyone was driving a vehicle for purpose and not for vanity then vehicles would be much smaller and the roads not so dangerous for someone who wants to putt-putt to work.

That would probably work in Arizona then, and I must agree with the point about vehicle size, they have gotten quite large.
