We all expected the looting, that comes with this sort of tragedy. But I absolutely cannot believe the animals in that city! What in the hell are they thinking?!?!

well according to radio scanners, national guard from oklahoma have arrived, and they are the type of troops that can fill sandbags or go fight people. That was kind of ambiguous.
However, I jsut heard that US marshalls from DC amongst others are heading down that way and it's to deal with the people shooting at rescue efforts.
Looks like this may get very ugly real soon now.
It already has, it's time to correct it.
35% of Mississippi's population lives below the poverty line! Not that its an excuse for the chaos we are seeing. However, these poor people are desperate and living in conditions that you & I couldn't possibly imagine.
The poverty level there should tell you something about the state of the Nation.

Things in the entire state are getting crazy. It took me an hour to get a tank of gas after I got off work. There were rumors that the Louisiana National Guard would be usurping most of the civilian supply of gasoline for relief efforts. All of the small gas stations were completely out of gas and there was a long wait at all of the big gas stations. I really wish I had a camera today, because it was a really surreal experience.
