I had to read the instructions twice to take a good look at what i was supposed to be achieving. Not an easy game

Make a cross with space for a 4-by-4 square left in the middle. When you plunk the 4-by-4 square in there to complete the cross, it'll give you BIG points. Then, keep trying to make complete crosses to bring the colored squares together.
The trick is to fill up rows going up/down and across while leaving the middle empty - fill it in to score in both directions and your points multiply.
VERY tricky - but my points went through the roof.
(Another addict, huh? I'm STILL playing this...)
